Failed to get the latest updates

Hi Marcos, it says NOD32 2.5 and it is an evaluation version. I thought it was fixed now but it failed again to automatically deliver updates 3342 and 3343. I had to try it manually several times again

 

I have the antivirus version 3.0.621.0 My updates are only upto 3327(20080805). I have set the update server as " choose automatically ". Automatic updates have stopped. I get the message " update of virus database not necessary". I have installed the Marsu-fix 2.3. No use yet.

Pls suggest what I should do for getting the latest update ..

NOD32 2.5 evaluation version was replaced by version 2.7 about 2 years ago. Apparently v2.5 won't update. For how long have you had it installed and where did you download it from?

 

Do you really expect cracked versions to update?

 

I'm using v. 3.0.621.0
Virus signature database: 3301 (20080727)
Update module: 1024 (20080514)
Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1132 (20080723)
Advanced heuristics module: 1071 (20080509)
Archive support module: 1080 (20080725)
Cleaner module: 1032 (20080724)
Anti-Stealth support module: 1002 (20080723)

My problem is that everytime it tries to update it has the error:
Error creating temporary file

I tried to download the latest version to uninstall and reinstall but it keeps asking for my user name/password. I know it's correct because I copy and paste right from the eset email with that information.
Can you help me??

 

I really didn't install it... my computer 'died' last year it was took some place to fix it and when they brought it back it already had this program installed... I hate being so vague, but it says that the evaluation version still has 16715082 days, if that's of any help.

 

This happens when a crack is applied. Please uninstall EAV, install the current trial version and do not apply any cracks to it, otherwise you won't be able to update. Since EAV/ESS is commercial software, you can trial it for 30 days and then either purchase a license or uninstall it from your computer.

 

Ok Marcos, just the last questions, I swear ... What do you mean by crack? ANd how do I do to prevent from applying cracks when I install the program? And if I install the new trial version I will be able to use it for only 30 days? Because I can't purchase it.

Simply download and install the official trial version available at ESET's website. Do not download and install any cracks which might cease updates.
All products ESET develops are commercial, there is no free version that can be used forever. The trial versions can be used for 30 days, then you must either purchase a license or uninstall the trial version.
