Anyone want to walk a newb through getting some better icons for Mint 16? I read some web pages, went to DeviantArt, etc... but still a little confused. It looked like you need a "tweak tool" and they all said Ubuntu Tweak. On Mint? Don't want to mess anything up.

Click on mint menu, then settings, then themes. Then click on the tab within the themes menu that says 'other settings' You'll then see an option to change your icons. Faenza will be in the list by default.

there are 2 ways to install icons one via ppa like mrk said

second is open file manager go to view show hidden files (CTRL + H) there create a icons folder called .icons and unzip icons inside it simple

now open mint settings go to themes

3rd tab settings select the icon you want to use.

    hope it help you

But both the icons sets he/she is after are already included in mint 16. If he/she follows my post they'll have the icons up and running in less than a minute. No need to add PPA's in mint 16 both sets of icons mentioned are included in Mint.
