So FB wants to shout at us now.
Except that these little blunders have become common place. I've seen a lot especially in news sites. Unfortunately it won't amount to more than a blip on the radar for FB.

FACEBOOK introduces a competitor to Apple Pay and Venmo, set to work across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and FB proper

"Today we’re introducing Facebook Pay, which will provide people with a convenient, secure and consistent payment experience across Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp...

Facebook Pay will begin rolling out on Facebook and Messenger this week in the US for fundraisers, in-game purchases, event tickets, person-to-person payments on Messenger and purchases from select Pages and businesses on Facebook Marketplace. And over time, we plan to bring Facebook Pay to more people and places, including for use across Instagram and WhatsApp..."

I think people are not at all stupid, but they are lazy and manage to bury inconvenient things, and get lured by the "free" strokes they get.

I've had this precise conversation IRL with people, where I am iconoclastic about refusing to interact with them on any FB platforms, including whatsapp. They look at me as if I'm nuts or an extremist.

Me? I'm a guy who ran a business, and have some ethical principles; and I do not transact with scummy companies.
