I've seen posts and received instruction from tech support to "Press the F11 key when the Acronis Loading..." appears.

Nothing happens when I do this. One PC hangs (has to be rebooted). The other PC ignors it entirley.

I'm doing this while booting the CD rescue disk. I'm running win2k if that's important. One note: I'm using a PCI ata controller which also requests F11 to be pressed for win2k. I always ignore that prompt. However, If it's ignored when the CD TI is booting then TI9 does not recognize my HDs.

The other PC has no weird add-ons. so F11 doesn't work on it either.

    What am I doing wrong.

    Hi AnthonyN

I don't know what kind of problems your ATA controller can cause but the advice to press F11 when using the recovery disk is nonsense since that only works with the start up recovery manager.

You know, I was just thinking that myself. The recovery manager must modify the MBR and that is where the F11 is trapped.

    thanks
