F-Secure Version 18.0

Yeah saw this on Malwaretips forum. I'm not too sure what it all means. It seems every time I find a product I am happy with it changes/goes to the wall or just plain discontinues, so I rather hope it means a continuation of what they have?

 

Yeah, I also don't know what it will mean for the future of F-Secure, but I hope they will stay (independent) as they are.

WithSecure is such a weird name for a company. I don't like prepositions (with) as a company name. They just sound strange. WithSecure... who is it secure with? It makes no sense. At least with F-Secure, I knew the F was keeping me safe.

Imagine calling your company "on." On what? What is it on?

 

This will only be the new name for corporate clients right? So the F Secure name will stay for the consumer division. I do agree that it's a dumb move.
