I am using True Image 8.0, build 768, to do backups from the internal HD to an external USB HD. the internal HD is NTFS, the external HD is FAT32. The write to the external HD completes successfully and the explore feature shows all the files. Are there any special considerations when going from FAT32 to NTFS as in the case of a full restore and what would be the best method of converting the external HD to NTFS with or without data.
    Thanks for your help

Are you cloning the disk or imaging it?

If you are imaging it, then the filesystem doesn't make any difference. The image will know that your filesystem is NTFS, and will restore it that way.

Thanks for your reply, I am creating an image of the whole internal HD, including including all files in 2 partitions.
Any idea why the convert option from the cmd line can't find the external HD out on the USB ?
