I can only speak from a Firefox aspect, but the question is a general one.

Extensions - no problem, I can disable them or uninstall them from the Tools menu.

Plugins ? For some reason, the brains that thought all this out provided a disable facility via the Tools menu but forgot to provide an uninstall facility. How utterly marvellous, once a Plugin is installed, it is with us ad infinitum. What a wonderful idea some beatle-brained wonder- wizard has concocted.

If I ask Mozilla how to get rid of these Plugins, I get referred to some huge screed of garbage that does not really answer the question.
Not wishing to devote the rest of my life to reading complicated non-relevant crap that does not focus on my problem, I thought I would ask Wilder`s.

Can anybody tell me in simple terms how to get rid of unwanted Plugins ?

    John

Thanks JR. That looks promising - I`ll plug into it and see what it means.
