    hi

my girlfriend got me extendia anti virus from wal mart..i had norton but i tried the regular extendia and it seemed great..after a month or so it kept fiendind a trojan called win32trojan downloader or something like that that couldn't be deleted ..it just kept popping up and i could lock the file.

turns out it was the auto update for extendia....if it was a trojan mCafee online and anti-trojan didn't find it.

    vitus descriptions are in german.

anyone have an opinion on the program....i have norton too but this seemed to work great?

    Tom ;)

I have no experience with extendia, but I will say that having a backup scanner AV is worth the while, especially since you now have two.
Just make sure you only use one AV to run as a resident monitor and the other, strictly for backup scanning.
I'm not a fan of Norton, mostly because of its size, but it is doing very well at Virus Bulletin.
I can't seem to find extendia or AVK there. Never noticed before.
Hmmmmmmmmm. I have been neglecting my homework.

I was looking at Virus Bulletin site.

I think AVK is tested and the developer is gdata(german)

    FWIW
