One post removed. It went over the top. Time for cuteness to stop and get back on topic.

    Re: FirstDefense-ISR 3.31.232 *New Version*

Had the chance to use this new version several times now trying out some software.
Outside of 1 misdirected and stubborn icon on my desktop, from Avira, which likes moving to a new location on my desktop everytime I restore from a snapshot, the program has been flawless.

I know it's been said before but this is one program where the more you use it, the more you like it.

Definitely one of the best software purchases I have ever made!

Thanks again, Todd, for keeping this one going. :D

So how does someone who has never owned the product and wants to buy it and get the update, go about it?

I see on Horizon's site they are selling 3.1212 still and not this new version.

I don't think you can buy this version. It is an update being offered to PREVIOUS registered owners of the ORIGINAL FD-ISR program which is no longer being offered for sale.

All you can buy at this time, is the <snip> version called FD-ISR Server Rescue for $295 which has much less functionality from what I've read here on the forum.:'(

There is a non server version on the site

    http://www.horizondatasys.com/253715.ihtml

But it is an old one. Can I buy it and then obtain the 3.31.232 update from Leapfrog?

    ablatt,

That is not the old original FD-ISR.

It is a dumbed down version without many of the features everyone hails about in the original version.

The one you see that is called FD-ISR Rescue can only take 2 images and is missing other tools too.

So... to answer you, you can't.

Out of curiousity then, why is a new version being released for a product that can't even be purchased any longer?

Just because Todd is a nice guy? ;)

Yup. Now, I'm hoping, no, PRAYING, that his niceness continues thru to Windows 7! (That loud bump that I just heard, was that Todd passing out?) ;)

v3.31.232 is the latest. We have one other problem that came up. We believe it is a legacy BIOS issue. After reviewing that issue, we will release a new version.

    Greetings All,

I just got my first irrate person requesting the update and upset about our spam filters being up. The lauguage used was uncalled for. I realize this is NOT representative of the group by a long shot.

I lowered my spam filter for the first week to get the majority of folks the update and new keys. I have raised it back to a normal level again. I just get too much yucky "stuff".

Most will get through just fine, if for some reason you cannot just PM me.

Sorry to hear that you encounter those types, especially since you are doing this more or less pro bono.
    Shame on him.

    Todd

    Your efforts are most appreciated.
And please don't remove the RSS Copy engine. Because FD-ISR did not work properly in VSS mode when installed together with Storagecraft's ShadowProtect.

    Thanks Pete

I am currently testing both programs in VSS mode. So far no conflict.
Who fixed the bug Leapfrog or Storagecraft?
