The tutorial and a previous thread says to add .exe files,
either I need to go to bed or something is odd, I don't see any .exe files in zone alarm or anywhere else when I click add a file. I have some .dll files though. I NEED to add IE to this check list, but when I click on Intenet Explorer there is no IEXPLORER.exe file. Same thing with ZoneAlarm. I did get to add the winsock, hosts and regedit files though.

I'll keep looking in the meantime, IF I figure it out, I'll post again.

    Thanx,
    Lori

Depending on your version of Windows you will see an icon next to one of two things:

    ex. zapro.exe
    OR
    zapro

You may not be seeing the ".exe" after the executable files (I know Windows XP has this configured as default).

    Hope this helps.

Adjust your file and folder properties to show file extensions ...

    Hi Lori

Nice to see you too posting here....I am kinda new here
It is much more convenience if you make the known extensions visible besides it is kinda a security risk when you can´t identify files by yourself. Like d told folder properties and unchecking one box they are visible.

    best wishes ^Ari^
