Ewido - now hangs system....

have you tried closing / ending all your background processes except explorer.exe, svchost.exe and lsass.exe with your taskmanager? then update. if you still get that error it would be more clear to me (I think)

I would liked that either to be honest and I understand the frustration. what I would try at last resort is to disable to disable the dns client (service)

at our forum it helped for some members who had some kind of update problem. but it would be a guess. you can allways enable it again.

you find it in the control panel-performance and maintenance-system...(cannot translate from dutch sorry)-services-dns client and disable it
then reboot.

Dear Fish, yes tried updating again but it still doesnt work. Yesterday I uninstalled EWIDO and re installed but it still didnt work. Now I have removed Ewido from my system and await the new version.
