Why do a lot of sites say to uncheck "Install
background guard" and "Install scan via context menu" during installation of ewido?

What is Scan via context menu and background guard?

Is it better to install these items or not?

    Thanks.

When you rightclick on a file (i.e. in explorer) a context menu appears, see screenshot. One option there is to scan with ewido.

Background guard will scan files, when used, constantly in the background without you have to do a thing.

    I would install them both.
