red icon stating your computer is at risk showing?
Don't think so, but I do like it that it does show an alert because I didn't get the latest updates.
Fact: I'm at risk, when I don't have the latest updates.
Same could be said about an antivirus not showing you an alert when you're not using the latest signatures or an update failed or it got corrupted.
I guess you'll have to live with it for now.
Are you speaking of the Microsoft Security Center red icon
I think he's talking about this -> see screenshot.
Possibly so but the reason I asked is given the fact MS Security Center uses a red icon and will report AV at risk if it's not updated which can be adjusted
Yes, that is the one.
It's not a big deal but I just like manual updates and that red icon is always there even when you have the latest updates.
Yep, it's always there, but only to remind you that it would be better to turn it on, so you'll get automatic updates.
Like you said, it's no big deal.
