I know that many features of TDS3 are unavailable in the eval version. But is the disinfection of trojans enabled? This would seem to be a very valuable way to test this program.
i would hope so if not that would be very lame. i mean its 30 days you should be able to use it fully you would think wonder why they dont let you? see the way its desghien makes it imposiable to crack or pirate a major anti pirated protection best i seen in a long time. it also knows when 30 days are up and even when you think every trace has been removed and you reinstall it lol it still knows 30 days are up lol that includes reg cleaner. so that being said i honestly dont know why wayne and galvin dont make most of it functuanal during eval best d.a.mn secure anti pirating copy right protected software i ever seen. and i mean that with the highest complement
lol Are you shadowing me Blaze?? Thanks for the input. I sure hope someone knows the definite answer!
joosky would know she knows everything and if she says she dosent that means shes busy lol=) hi joosky lol
Or she was asleep some hours which even humans need some times. Hello Gnostic, welcome aboard in the DCS forums For the evaluation: most functions are there, only a few are disabled or limited. For updating the databases for instance, that you'll have to do manual by grabbing the new update from the TDS download page at DCS; copy that file over the one in the TDS directory, nothing to install, just start or reload TDS. Not sure if the newest port references list is there too, which is renewed very frequently too; somebody made a little SS3 script which which we grab it from wherever Gavin put it for us. The scanoptions all work, check them all! The Exec protection you can't install in the evaluation; not that you notice much of it when it's installed except that every executable which once it's installed will be checked with by windows as always before it runs, but that exec protection gives an extra stop in case what is intending to run is blocked when malicious. In the script part you're limited to scripts of max. 5kb, so the ones i made with the msagent controller are all small enough; i posted a few in several threads in this forum too. And without a registered version you can't access the private forums, which are a wealth of info, education, first hand news and beta testing, new products and lots more (i'm not going to tell all ) Think these are the main limits at the moment. So yes you can update to the latest databases and yes you can scan full power!
Thank you Jooske I like what I see so far. I will take the time to learn TDS and will look to you if I have any more questions. If I am able to purchase one program this year, this will be it!!
Start putting aside a coin a day and you have it sooner then thought! You might like to look in the meantime at WormGuard too, for sure. It never matters who asks or answers the questions, as long at's done as good as possible Did you look in the meantime t Jan's instructions for a basic configuration? Quite informative i'd say!
Yes, I have. They are very informative and I think I'll put TDS through it's paces now. But first I must (clink) put another penny in my "buy TDS" jar! Gnostic
Make it two pennies a day then, so you have enough before the 30 days eval are over and not only that, you get used to it and you might be halfway for a next tool on your wishlist As long as you don't need to eat the keyboardbecause of that.
