    I don't find anything wrong with an independent EU military body in itself, but when you have built enough spying power, it is very easy to switch it's target from external threats to your own citizens.

    PS: Be warned though that the article is extremely biased (I'm not going into details, because that would be politics, and it's sad for this thread to die so soon :) ).
