esset using 100%?

    are you using the latest version? What OS? Did you notice any particular folder or file being scanned when the Cpu is at 100%?

    esset version:4.2.58.3
    os: windows xp sp3
    i dont know if eset was scanning but i was installing some drivers from a cd, it happens too when im moving some files from my ipod to my pc

    When copying/moving or scanning files, advanced heuristics is used to check files which may be a time consuming operation in case of specific runtime archives. Just for a test, try disabling advanced heuristics, runtime packers and sfx archives for newly created/modified files, one at a time, in the advanced real-time protection setup.
