SysRescue and SysInspector run, but not ESS.

Install went fine with no hitches, but it won't start the authorization process or open the program at all.

Windows 7 with all updates up to date.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Update:

Uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled and now it won't install at all.

Cleaned the system again to make sure no other antivirus could be lurking somewhere, rebooted again.

Reinstalled again and it hangs at the point where it's starting services. Something about the "ekrn" and I don't have sufficient permissions?

    How do I fix that?

    Hello mmaxtell

Just some thoughts and things you can do while you wait for Eset support. Do you receive an error message when you install Eset, if yes please see this link: Common ESET Installation Error Messages . What security software have you used before Eset. There could be remnants left on the system there could be blocking eset? You can try to (again) uninstall Eset then try to run one of the uninstallers from your previous security solution, just to be sure that no remnants is hiding on your pc, before you try to install Eset Again: Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software . And lastly have you tried to run eset online scanner, just to be sure, that it is not malware there is blocking you for installing of Eset.

    Regards, Janus
