Happy New Year 2012 to all

When you activate the learning mode of the firewall for a while, when we return in interactive mode, the rules created in the learning mode is still valid?

    Regards,

    Vigen.

    Hello,

First, sorry for my bad English. The answer is yes. I just tried last week and I am currently on a configuration of ESET Smart Security has started in a mode "learning". The rules are kept unchanged thereafter.

    In French :D

    Bonjour,

La réponse est oui. J'ai justement essayé la semaine dernière et je suis en ce moment sur une configuration de ESET Smart Security ayant débutée sur un mode "apprentissage". Les règles sont bien conservées tel quel par la suite.

    Perhaps I'm doing something wrong...

While running in Learning mode, my DLNA Server (Serviio) is seen by the renderers (Sony SMP N100s).

When I switch to Automatic mode, my SMP N100s no longer see my server.

This leads me to believe that the Learning Mode DIDN'T learn the ports necessary for my DLNA server to function (and I REALLY don't want to LIVE in Learning Mode).

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

After using learning mode to create necessary rules, you shouldn't switch to automatic mode but automatic mode with exceptions which applies created rules.

    Thanks.

Interestingly, the "tutorial" on ESet's website shows screenshot going to AUTOMATIC mode (live and learn)!
