ESS continuously prompts to give access fro some programs

I have been using ESS without problems for well over a year, I run in interactive mode and suddenly out of the blue for applications that were working find before, ESS has now decided to continuously prompt me to give them access.

Two example of unrelated applications, are Punch home and landscape design and uTorrent (both of which were fine a few days ago). If I switch to automatic mode they work fine and are not even blocked.

If I look at the firewall rules they are just duplicated in the list.

I have un-installed and re-installed but still the same problem.

 

I have a feeling that I am experiencing a similar issue to you. I have set up a couple of rules per HiTec Boys advice here and the popups have gone (the latest being Fotofusion's collage.exe). I don't know if this is a wider ESET problem or something to do with Comcast though.
