    Have you considered that there is a virus in it?

    I appear to have fixed it, I read on the help that HTTP was ticked and blocking/filtering so I have un-checked it and it's working ok
    Thanks for the help very quick to respond cheers

    This is the wrong solution, please follow Marcos's advice and PM him the link. Your browser should be ticked for protection.

    I'm having this problem too and it doesn't just happens on .exe files, it also happened to .msi files (for instance). I'm using the latest v4 version of ESS.

    The files don't have virus because this also happened ton legit Microsoft files, for instance, this one:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...wqc0MViC7Bg8csRbV4mH4xvJ36tYUN/Avxp5PT3ePqQ==

    It was a 500Mb+ download and when it finished, the file wasn't saved... Very problematic :/
