When a client (a notebook) try to connenct from external (trought VPN) and the day after it came back in the office, i can look in the listed host name a duplicated host name. the first normal and second with 0001. What does it mean?

    Example:
    Client name
    Client name 0001

    Tanks !

The MAC address of a system is part of the identifier (by default) for each individual clients in your RAS. Coming in over a different connection (wireless, wired, VPN) can cause a different MAC address to be reported to the console, causing duplicate entries. Go in to the advanced settings of your RAS and change the highlighted setting to Yes.
