As far as I know since the V4 release and Vista SP1(?) and above those options (include/exclude apps from scanning) ain't available anymore. And now with 4.2 you are able to exclude specific programs again. (See: 'improved compatibility with Windows Filtering Platform on Vista SP1 and newer OS' in change log)

/Edit: Mister Natural systems are most likely Windows XP, since he still sees option in that screen.

Thank you - there is no language installed - ENU from beginning.
So if you tell me that there is content missing i should reinstall from scratch.

@Brambb - Windows 7 here - XP is on the schedule for Upgrade next weekend.
Since it works fine that far i move both to the weekend.

Indeed there is noting wrong with your screenshot if its from Win7, everybody has the empty space on Vista SP1 and above.
Of course those option are still available on WinXP since XP doesn't make use of WPF.

With V4.2 you got that extra 'excluded applications' option underneath Protocol filtering added.

So looks like I can just download and install over the top? Or should I do a complete uninstall/reinstall?

    I'm running Windows 7 X64 Ultimate.

I've installed it on Windows XP, Windows 7 32 and 64 bit. All screens display fine. If you're having a screen display issue I would do a complete uninstall, that is uninstall then remove the eset directories listed in Program Files and Program Data on Windows 7 machines. On windows XP the eset directories are located in Program Files and Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data. Once it's completely removed, reinstall.

Im sure you have a empty space on the 'Protocol filtering' window on your Windows 7 installation as well as shown in the screenshot by Brummelchen. It is normal.

Just as I said. The 'Protocol filtering' display is empty.. In XP you had some options in that windows.

The yellow area in Brummelchen his screenshot is painted in with the text 'There should be something here' (In german).

"Ahh I see" said the blind man. I don't read German obviously. I thought the screen he posted is what he was seeing on his systems. I'll regretfully bite my tongue and leave it at being VERY annoyed for now.

What are the "•Fix: Minor Thunderbird and Outlook issues" that were fixed?

I'm having a problem with conflicting messages showing up under Outlook from using cached exchange mode due to NOD32 and Blackberry Enterprise server.

Is this a part of the Outlook fixes that were put in place?

No - The Outlook/BES Sync issues were not fixed in 4.2.35. I have dozens of sync messages in my folder that have been created since I installed 4.2.35.

an german speaking forum - i hoped the colored part will do good for demonstration.

Try disabling scan on read. If an email is scanned, at least one of its properties must be modified which will always result in sync issues if a particular email is downloaded and read on different machines.

If you read messages only in one email client, you might reduce the number of sync issues by adding signature only to infected emails.

Also you can try disabling EAV/ESS integration with your email client as well as adjusting the POP3 compatibility to middle or maximum compatibility.
