Eset needs to improve its registration/renewal process

    I've renewed my license early this morning with BetterAntiVirus.com, and I'm still waiting to receive my registration information. I know that they say it can take anywhere from 2h to 48h for the licence to be sent, but it's a somewhat convoluted process, especially if compared to what the competition is doing (Purchasing a license or renewing from Norton, or F-Secure, or most other AV company is instantaneous). It's a small thing, but mildly annoying non the less.

    I've never had to wait more than a day unless it was a weekend. I'm not going to complain when I feel that ESET has in my opinion the best registration system as it has caused me fewer problem than any other vendor. I've bought licenses for Norton and Kaspersky before that were blacklisted mid subscription without explanation. Norton gave me a new one after complaint, Kaspersky said too bad get lost, but ESET, never had an issue. :thumb:

    I'm not saying that Eset or BetterAntiVirus.com service is inadequate. It's just that I'm used to getting a license immediately after my payment is processed. I get that Eset licenses are offered via a large network of resellers, and that it comes with some amount of overhead. And I'm not about to stop using Eset products, or stop purchasing from BetterAntiVirus.com. ;)

    Online ordering system infrastructure is core to any software company these days, and ESET constantly maintains and improves theirs.

    If you can you let me know how long it took for your license to finally arrive, and what specific things you felt could be improved/actions could be taken (beyond the speed of the process, which you currently mentioned as an issue) I would be happy to forward that information on to ESET's developers.

    I will! Like previously stated, it's a minor annoyance. Aside from the fact that the licence is not delivered immediately upon payment, the rest of the process is well explained and pretty straightforward. :)

    I wasn't really saying you were as much as I was saying I was willing to tolerate it as a better system than some vendors use, but hey, if they are willing to accept feedback and improve it, great!

    You can use the trial version first and insert the license later when you receive it and also you can get free 30 days protection without license from ESET .

    I have always bought directly from ESET and have never had any problems. ESET was helpful in telling me how I could expand my license to more PCs.

    I did get my license on Saturday, so all is good. :) I know it's possible to purchase directly from Eset, but I like the idea of having a "local" reseller to contact in case something goes wrong. Since BetterAntiVirus.com has always provided excellent service, I see no reason to purchase from anyone else.
