    Howdy Javacool

The latest spywareblaster version works but not update button. It gives runtime error 372, so it does when I close the app. Furthermore ID -blaster gives now unexpected error, after "LitePC". Now I start thinking this pc is so ultra tweaked and causing those errors. Everything is cleaned away soon......like blown in the wind.....

Done this far: Uninstalled both programs, reinstalled them. Updated mscomctl.ocx in windows system folder.

I also think that I might better not clean and tweak this anymore lol as long as all works fine :D

    best regards -Ari

I hate to say it, but I seems as though this is a problem caused by programs such as LitePC and IERadicate.

I'm working on a potential workaround for this - so stay tuned.

Also just to verify - everything else works in SpywareBlaster except for the update feature?

    Thanks,

    -Javacool

P.S. Can you try something for me? Download that version of MSCOMCTL.OCX from the thread in this forum, rename the old one in your Windows/System (or Windows/System32) directory to any other name, copy the new version to that directory, then drag the MSCOMCTL.OCX file onto REGSRV32.EXE. TIA.

Can you also PM me with an e-mail address where I could send a version that might fix this issue? (It might be a couple days, but I'll get one done.)

    Thanks,

    -Javacool

Please PM me an e-mail address I could send you an updated version that may fix this problem (it won't be today for sure, but it could be soon).

Also, just to verify - is the only thing not working the update feature?

    Best regards,

I have e-mailed you an even newer version of the MSCOMCTL.OCX file.

If you could try it and report any changes I would greatly appreciate it. :)

    Thanks,

    No changes
.....yet, all the same error :( but why has LitePc created subfolders under system: c:\windows\system\windows\system.....? and there is nothing but that particular ocx file in it .

I'm not really sure - I haven't tried out LitePC yet (IERadicator I am sure causes this issue, and since the two program seems somewhat similar, I am assuming that LitePC is the problem here).

Maybe you could try putting mscomctl.ocx in that folder?

I'm still working on that workaround for this issue. :)
