When I create a backup I get the following error message:

    Error 000E40007: Error Opening File

A possible reason may be poor media quality.

I get the message when I click Next on the screen where it asks how often to run the backup and again when I press Finish. However, my backup is created successfully and it runs.

I have tried this with several types of CDs in the drive and it does not make a difference. I did reasearch on the internet and chose CDs that are recommended as good quality. Can anyone please tell me how to resolve this?

    Thanks,
    Kim

    Hello Kim,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please download and install the latest build (2337) of Acronis True Image 9.0 which is available at the Product Updates section of our web site.

To get access to updates you should create an account then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

Please take a look at this FAQ article which describes what storage devices can be used for image storing.

Please note that a possible workaround is to create image archives on a local or networked hard drive specifying the image archive split size and burn them to CDs or DVDs later.

Please submit a request for technical support. Attach the information about your purchase of Acronis software (order number, e-mail, where did you purchase our product, etc.) to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
