Error: Couldn't open Administrator's XML : nod32.xml

HI,
I download the trial version (spanish) and when i tried to install, result the menssage
Error: Couldn't open Administrator's XML : nod32.xml

The configuration is
XP profesional service pack 2

I run setup.exe /test as some explain at the forum
before this, i test if exist the folowing path

temp, etc as someone describe at the forum

It's not an issue, just a notification that no nod32.xml with predefined settings was found which is normal as it's not embedded in the installers. However, advanced users (admins) can create one using the Configuration editor and use it for installation so that the desired settings are applied automatically.

In my opinion, the problem is that the NOD32 kernel service could not be registered, perhaps because of registry permission problems. Make sure the administrators group has full access granted for the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM key as well as all its subkeys (in advanced setup you can choose to replace permissions on all child objects).

Was NOD32 ever installed on the machine before?

What's the actual error message you are shown when the installation fails?

Before you start installing NOD32, make sure it's been completely uninstalled (e.g. by checking presence of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET registry key).
