Equivalient of the ghost -IM command?

    Actually the reply from IBM Support is interesting. It implies there may be code beyond Absolute Sector 0 that is needed for your computer to boot into special areas. It implies sectors 0 to 62 need to be restored. True Image only restores sector 0 (as do most imaging apps).

    Absolute Sectors 0 to 62 is called the First Track. There are tools to backup and restore this track but it's specialized. eg MBRWork from TeraByte Unlimited.

    Does anyone know if True Image can get around this First Track issue?

    In the restore options there is "MBR and Track 0" so it looks like TI can do this.



    PS. I just tested it and sectors in addition to Absolute Sector 0 in Track 0 are restored. Good work Acronis.
