There is a compiled EQSecure 4.2 Pro pack for everybody to test

    For your convenience:

    1. (As of 2009-07-2:cool: The newest and greatest custom english translation file for EQSecure 4.1+ (English.zip) Which is
better than the default english translation.

    2. A fix for version 4.2 (EQSecure.Fix.By.LCG.rar)

    3. EQSecure 4.2 English Pro Final (eqsecurepro420-en.exe)

    4. Alcyon's "EQSecure RuleSet v1.69.0523" (eqsecure.v3.41.winxp.rules.v1.69.0523-exp.zip)

NOTE- Alcyon's ruleset work with 4.2. It is developed for EQSecure v3.41, so may override unique rules that were introduced in v4.0+?

    again

Sorry guys, there was one thing I never tested. 1. You should copy the image from the default official Eng.zip and add it to my English.zip file, this will translate the Chinese GUI image properly. 2..... 4.2 does not have an option to choose different language files from the GUI, so you must rename the custom English.zip to Eng.zip, and override the default file under %program files$\EQSsecure\Lang\

you may also want to edit the language files and search/rename all 4.1 references to 4.2

    Nope, only with XP.

Even the latest version (4.2) does not support Windows 7, only XP/2003/VISTA.

No, if you are looking for something quite similar to EQSecure.
There is only Malware Defender, but it's not free (one-off payment of $40).

But there are HIPS/FW combos for free, like Comodo, OA Free, PC Tools FW or PrivateFirewall which support Windows 7.

    Cheers

Do you know if only the defense+ can be installed without the firewall part of comodo?

Yes, but then you'll have to install the AV part.
Either FW or AV must be installed during the regular setup.

I don't know if there is a workaround if someone wants to install only D+.

    Cheers
