    Symantec acquired PC Tools in 2008. Symantec withdrew the entire PC Tools security portfolio, comprising PC Tools Internet Security, Spyware Doctor and Spyware Doctor with Antivirus on,
    18 May 2013.
    Sygate tools didn't fare as well lasting less than 6 months after being acquired, but
    were getting off subject of Emsisoft.

    Grrrr! Emsisoft NEVER supported my Atari 800 or my Commodore 64. :mad:

    Coolyerjets, folks -- only kidding. :)

    Win7 bids Emsisoft a fond aloha from Hawaii, and the best of NZ luck! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

    @emsisoft Hello :)

    Is your representative Brett Callow new to Emsi?

    It seems he has already uncovered news of a recent ransomware attack on Hanes underwear corporation.

    Attacks on big companies are becoming a dime-a-dozen, sadly. Greedy, greedy, greedy. :thumbd:

    edited to correct typo.

    Brett isn't new. He joined us about 4 years ago and leads our PR and marketing activities. He's doing a lot of malware/ransomware research.

    What is wrong with his tweet? Aside from all the bots responding with orange man bad type posts.

    I actually don't understand your question, sorry. I posted it b/c it was a topic of interest and requested further info and not because of "bots" or that anything was "wrong."

    Without much context from you it was hard to decipher the point of your post. Thanks.

    And THAT research is been tremendously valuable. If I recall correctly Emsisoft was one of the first to dive headlong into ransomware issues for customers/users alike when it began proliferating like ants in an ant hill. Unfortunately those bad actors instead of tapering off have really been pressing the patience and sharpness of researchers full force.
