Malwarebytes 3.0 comes with an option to register it to the action center. You can see it here on Aura's post. https://forums.malwarebytes.com/top...en-turned-off/?do=findComment&comment=1083818 Unless you want Malwarebytes to be your main protection, I wouldn't bother with the setting or registering it. (Since this is the Emsisoft Emergency Kit thread. If anyone wants to continue this discussion regarding MBAM 3, it would be better to do so in the appropriate thread)
The message is still misleading. Start EEK and then close it and you still get the pop-up. How about showing this only after you actually do a scan?
Does anyone know how to get rid of the "Did your current AV let you down" pop up at the end of the scan and again at closing of EEK. Two nags from a "free" program. Ilooked at in process explorer see ntdll.dll user thread starts. Is it one of them that runs the nag and how to get rid of it. Or is it something in the EEK folder? I would like to try to remove the nag before removing EEK
I get only one pop up. IDK hot to get rid of it, AFAIK it's not possible. But OTOH I don't mind it also.

in one of those other security forums, it was noted by reputable user that recent EAM full version badly failed a test of malware worms, and emsisoft replied that it was a bug in EAM which they perhaps now fixed, but unclear how this relates to EEK as it seems the worm protection had much to do with EAM Behavior Blocker. Is the BB relevant to EEK scan? thanks.

Hi mood. What's the difference between this version and the one downloaded directly from Emsisoft. Aren't they both portable?
The version from Emsisoft is not truly portable as it requires a file to be downloaded to your hard drive to host signatures.
