Signature updates for me are less than 100 kb now, maybe some kind of tweak?

    12.198.467 for now :D

Emsisoft really made a great job with hybrid updates, very low traffic required.

My last update was just 37804 bytes (36.9 kb)

Does anyone known what blocklist EAM is using in the Surf Protection module. In the past it was hpHosts. I was wondering if it still is or now something different.

Also, are there any additional blocklists you can use with EAM and how to install them. EAM hosts rules allows for both their own list and "my own."

Yes, I believe you can. I am trying to find which list already available is compatible with EAM and how to load it.

We compile the list ourselves now. In general the system is clever enough to remove any duplicates. So you can just import the host lists you want and anything that is covered by our our list will be removed.

Fabian - Say I want to then add the hpHosts list. Where would I put the list on my computer so that EAM recognizes it.

When you navigate to Guard → Host Rules you should be able to see Import hosts file link in lower left corner. Since I never used that future I don't know if it's what you are seeking, but it's not so bad place to start IMO.

Yes that worked. Downloaded hpHosts to a file folder and unzipped it. Went to EAM Host Rules and imported the hpHosts list. It took awhile for EAM to merge them. Once it did you can see which are "my own" and which are EAM's. You can even turn one or the other off. Never thought about using this feature before.

If you remove "my own" will the EAM list be restored on the next update from your server?

Have to figure out how to remove/replace hpHost list first.

To remove large numbers of custom imported hosts, I'd suggest to use the export/import feature in General Settings.

Export the host rules (only custom hosts will be exported) to a plain text file, edit the file to remove specific lines and import back.

Note: The next major version will introduce a factory defaults feature to do that with just 2 clicks (reset specific areas of the configuration).

Okay thanks Christian. It is just easier to use your built in one as you are constantly updating it and I don't have to do anything.
