U could use EAM without updating it. Mamuto could protect you

 

Yes and I did, but still the File Guard and Surf Protection modules add more protection and they both need updates. The Surf Protection (hpHosts) is updated less frequently.

 

Yeah i know Mamutu still protects the system but IMO (I've always said it) it misses too much things (I still think they need to improve the rules) but still protection is protection of course!!

Just asking. Does anyone else think that EAM is slowing their web-browsing a tad in the last week or so? Pages seem a little slower to open lately compared to last month for me.

 

Sorry, I didn't experienced anything like that. But it may be a browser specific problem.

 

I haven't noticed any kind of lag during browsing. What browser do you use?

 

Firefox 9.0.1. It could be FF itself?

I didn't updated it for 5 days & now the update size is 80 MB

 

I've done 3 days updates with my dad laptop and it is usually around 10MB-15MB

In the last few days there have been some huge updates related to the latest versions, probably it is because of that?
