EMET Problem

Vista Home Premium X32,SP2, I have AppGuard, Sandboxie and Malwarebytes installed. Every time I try install EMET I get a error on the install package on 2.1 or 3. Iv'e switched to install mode in AppGuard, I've turned off MBRGuard, still no go. Any suggestions, or do I need to install EMET Thanks in Advance

 

It may help greatly to post the error you receive when you try to install the program.

 

Do you have Netframe.?

 

This is error message I get, The Installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with the package. The error is 2738.

I do have .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 and .Net Framework 4 Client Profile

 

I believe that error code is from missiing registration of Vbscript.DLL. try this.

Windows Start button -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.

You should be in directory C:\Windows\System32

Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll (enter)

Should get a message box saying DLL has been registered.

 

Tried that got the message DLL has been registered, Will try to download a new install and see what happens, Thanks

 

Tried again still get the same error 2738

 

Not sure whats going but maybe its not worth the aggravation with EMET and unless it happens with other installs, you have great protection already with what you have.
