Emergency Boot Disk

    I've noticed that some AV progs out there have support for an EBD or Emergency Boot Disk and some dont. My first question is what is the purpose of the EBD and under what circumstances must it be used. Also does NOD32 support the need for an EBD ?

    I guess you'd need to use a Rescue Disk or Emergency Boot Disk if you got an infection which prevented you from booting into Windows, or which made the PC unusable in some other way once you had Windows running.

    One way to make a set of rescue disks for NOD32 is to use the free third party utility AVDisk:
