Email-Worm.Win32.Runouce.b

asquared tells me I have this worm

I googled and found it has been around a long time so how come my other security progs did not find. aquaredcsays it is at c:\program files\google\common\ google updater\googleupdaterservice.exe.

I did create a gmail address would that be it? I have not used it except to send a test mail to see if it worked.
Edit have looked at the file appear to have got it 1/8/2007 when I did not even have this PC till December 2007

 

I would run this file by Virus Total.
A-Squared has been known for their share of FP's

 

It is being scanned now. Came back clean I also found

Edit: I quarantined the file just in case. If anyone has any more info please post

 

a-squared is known for quite a few false positives.

 

Looks like a false alarm. Have you tried submitting the file using the submit option in quarantine? If that does not work, email the file to fp@emsisoft.com instead.
