Suddenly I noticed that the email notification does not work anymore when you are watching a thread.

For years and years it worked, and suddenly it does not work anymore, at least on my end.

I don't like this at all.

What has happened? Some error on the board software, some mistake?

I would like this to be fixed asap. Thank you.

    Hi FanJ,
About two hours after your posts, I received two notifications for other threads.
But I have seen the issue you reported, a number of times before.
Sometimes notifications were very delayed; a few times I did not receive a notification at all.
I don't know what was the cause. It could have been the forum software, but I suppose it could also have been my mail provider having queueing issues or filtering issues.

    Thanks my friend!

I agree with you. Time will tell if and when this is going to happen again. But I must also admit that it could also very well be caused by my own mistake. Getting older comes with mistakes.

A couple of times I didn't get a notification email, it was my mistake.
Those times, it was because I followed a thread and overlooked the fact there were more posts at the next page, and I didn't open that last page. If that's the case, one doesn't receive a notification for new posts, if I'm not mistaken. I learned to be more careful to check if I've seen all pages.
But other than those times, in the other cases the forum software might have been responsible, or my mail provider having queueing issues or filtering issues.
