If your looking for some security, avoid the free lavabit account as i learned from opening one that it's just a basic account with non of the security features associated with paid accounts.

For a free flexible client and mail service with security features, it's hard to top Trulymail.

I loved TheBat however I had a slight issue I couldnt trouble shoot and it had to go. PopPeeper is what Im currently using. I have one more quirk to work out and we shall see if this one is a keeper.

Does anyone know a email Program (or webmail) that supports virtual folders? The only one I found is Thunderbird.

Their premium account has 8GB storage limit in total, with 8192 messages/day total.

Yup, I dont see a phone number/email address either.
But they have been around for a while, and many people have used them.

I love it, but Im having an issue with it. Its browser related.

If my default browser is set to Firefox I get an error saying that there is an error sending the command to the application.

If I change my default browser to IE or IEx64 the error message goes away. There has to be some sort of little quirk with Firefox.

I think I just solved my issue. I think it was related to default program associations. Within Windows Default Programs you can choose to associate a file type or program with a specified program of your choice. xhtml was associated with IE. I changed that to Firefox default and the issue appears to be gone.

Not a problem. I couldnt find the answer anywhere online to my specific problem so I was forced to troubleshoot myself.

Sure was. I liked it except it kept disconnecting from GMails pop and smtp servers so I would have to close the client and restart it just to check emails. It grew old so I ditched it for Thunderbird. I was having a good time with Thunderbird until a few days ago. Now Im back to TheBat which was the first one I used in the first place.

I installed it and been having a hell of a time to get it to work with my zoho account. I have all the info needed from zoho site as far as incoming and outgoing server etc and it will not work. Zoho uses SSL.

I have checked out every possible free programs and there is one reason or another why I can't use it or just don't like it. My two picks I found that I liked is Foxmail and Dreammail but a lot people were complaining that it was phoning home constantly in China.

I installed Thunderbird last night and when I opened the program it just freezes. You can't even setup a account. So I ditched it.

I haven't installed the bat yet to see how well it works on my system. I have to check to see if it has a evaluation period.

I went to the emClient forum and you have 5 employees for over 600 threads.

    Edit:

Has anyone ever heard of Fusemail? You get 100 Gig of storage per mailbox for $10.00 a month.

Remember I couldn't get my zoho account to work with eMClient so I installed Poco Mail and it works fine. You my as well say there is no support for eMClient unless you have the paid version.

    Thanks for the link though.

Im not familiar with Zoho. Maybe you have to go into your account and enable IMAP or POP. I know you have to do that with Gmail. Those features arent enabled by default.

Back to eMClient. The new version seems to have the issues fixed. Ill be testing it out over the next few days to see how things go. If all goes well Ill be getting rid of TheBat. I still cant seem to troubleshoot the random error message Im getting with it.

In my experience Outlook 2007 is bloated and slow. You should be able to export messages. I know for a fact eMClient will take OE email imports.
