When Nod32 does an auto virus signature update it fails hanging my computer with an EKRN.EXE error. See screen shot. After using Nod32 for some years now this problem only just began about a week ago. I had to disable auto updates to avoid problem. Has anyone experienced this? http://jemoreau.ca/eset1.jpg
You could try updating to the newest version 3.0.657 and see if that helps with your problem. It sounds like there could be a problem with the installation. I would recommend doing a complete uninstall of your current version and download/install the newest version.
For the last week I too have had my computer hanging on an EKRN.EXE error. Have to reboot each time. Usually works upon a reboot, but tonight I had to reboot many times. Any ideas? You have posted to a v3 forum. Does installing ESET NOD32 Antivirus make a difference and resolves the issue?
Oops. Was so relieved to see the EKRN.EXE issue I just jumped right in. Haven't updated because a while back (I think) there was a conflict with Comodo. I'll re-post in the 2.x forum. I would like to update to v3...just need to find a good, simple firewall to go with it. Peace, Chamlin
