Since a few month's my server sends "Allocated Memory Alerts".
When I look with taskmanager I see ekrn.exe process is having more than 600Mb of memeory in use. That is very much. The memory footprint should be much smaller.

    I have a SBS 2003 server SP2. (32 bit)
    Nod32 is version V4.0.437.0

I searched this forum and I found an memory leak problem, wich looks very similar to what I see. But it only ssems to occur with Windows server 2008.

Has any one a solution for this problem? The only workaround I now have is to reboot.

    Thanks.

The memory usage is indeed unusually high. If possible, disable self-defense, restart the server and, when you notice the high memory usage again, run "procdump -ma ekrn.exe". Let me know when you have the process dump created. You could also try installing the latest version 4.2.64 to see if that resolves the problem.

A dump from ekrn as described above would reveal what exactly is consuming so much memory.
