Hi, I'm testing NOD32 antivirus. I'm using Easyphp 1.8 and I have notice when I'm trying to access my sites locally or trying to make Mysql resquest it's take forever to load. In IMON setting if I remove 80 Port from the list, will I be still protected from virus when surfing on the net? Thanks
Are you aware of ESET NOD32 Antivirus version 3.0 ? If so , is there any specific reason not to upgrade to v3 ? I would recommend you do the following : 1. Download fresh new version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0 from http://www.eset.com/download . Make sure that you choose the correct version. 2. Uninstall your current version of NOD32 v2 from Control Panel 3. Reboot the computer when prompted 4. Delete manually these folders: C:\Program files\ESET 5. Repair Winsock Windows XP SP2 , XP SP3 and Windows Vista all Goto Start –> Run type cmd and click OK. Type netsh winsock reset Press ENTER . Restart immediately ! N.B. ! There is a space between the commands , example netshSPACEwinsockSPACEreset N.B. ! If you use Windows Vista , you must first run cmd as Administrator . 6. Install your ESET v3 software using the file you downloaded in step1 . Use typical install. Use the default settings and do not change them Make sure you update EAV If you have problems with your application , post back
Hi, I'm using 2.7 french version. I like this version because it's not taking to much cpu is there a way to fix this without updating to v.3? Thanks
v3.0 is available in French , too . It provides better protection than v2 . In addition , v2 is no longer developed . If you use v3 with default settings , most likely you'll have no problems . Even though we may touch in IMON's settings , I would upgrade to v3 and use it with default settings . Should you have problems with v3 , we might touch its settings then .
Re: EasyPHP Movamp issue Hi, I'm have upgraded and still having issue. I have also tried with MovAmp web server. I can have access to my page but it's take forever to load ... really need to find a way
Re: EasyPHP Movamp issue Hi lenamtl, I have been using XAMPP here without any issue, and have tried another apache/php/mysql package also. None of these required any special configuration initially on ESS-BE v3.0.627.0 Regardless of which package you are using, are you running with the ESS firewall set to interactive mode and with appropriate rules set for your WAMP/XAMPP/whatever as required, and the Windows Firewall disabled? In Web Protection, Active mode do you only have web browsers like Internet Explorer, Firefox and co. ticked, and especially no tick there for apache/php/mysql? Also, it would be worth confirming that Advanced Heuristics and Runtime Packers are not enabled for real-time protection. And then try un-checking scan all files also for real-time protection if required. Please post back and let us know if any of that helps? Cheers
