I came across this freeware program that does a pretty good tune-up, as far as cleaning up unnecessary files/entries. It gives you the options to clean "unnecessary files”, invalid registry entries, duplicate files, dead start button short cuts, and a few other things. I have Norton System Works 2002 Professional, and ran it. I used Norton's clean sweep to rid my computer of unnecessary stuff, then used Norton WinDoctor to check for invalid registry entries. I corrected all of the noted problems using Norton. When finished, I ran EasyCleaner to see if it found anything else. EasyCleaner identified an additional 199 invalid registry entries, and 115 "unnecessary files". I deleted them too, which should help save disc space and speed performance. I did have one problem. EasyCleaner identified one folder (associated with Microsoft Word Small Office) as unnecessary and deleted it. I ran Word, and was prompted to re-insert the disc to replace the files. EasyCleaner does have an ignore option, which you can have files skipped. Or you can pick the ones out one-by-one if unsure. Also, when they are deleted, they go to the recycle bin. So, if something goes wrong, you have the ability to restore them from there (as long as you have not emptied it)

Just thought I'd pass it along.

There is a fix, for anybody experiencing problems accessing their Help & Support program, like i did.
