OK...OA does access Oasis to see if it is a known file and therefore cut down on pop ups. Oasis can be disabled if that is what the user prefers.

Just grabbed an Online Armor license since mine expires in 31 days ($8 what a deal). Does anyone know if the new license starts on the day of installation or day of purchase?

The license starts the day you activate the license, not the day you purchased the license.
There is a 10 month countdown from the day you purchased the license. The license must be activated within 10 months.

The sale page says $8 for 8 days, and it's dated Dec. 10th.

So far EAM, OA and AdMuncher are running just fine together, along with Sandboxie.:thumb:

The anniversary promo is $8 for 8 days until December 18th 2011.

Due to a pricing calculation error for lower pricing countries (such as India) the website displayed a wrong price during the first promo day. It accidently added a 50% discount on top of the $8 special price.

It's now fixed and in sync with the pricing in our shopping cart system.

I'm sorry for the confusion it caused.

If a license isn't activated within 10 months can we just add it's time frame to the value of our existing key?

I'd like to combine two keys together to make a 2 year product key :p

No, sorry, that's not possible and against the basic idea of this promo.

Then why email paying customers inviting them to participate? I was a paying customer the for a week before the promo and added online armor the day before.I have now taken both off and 2 years of license for both products can set unused. The paying customers made a commitment to you and the new customers are after a deal. Good Luck

I can't believe people are complaining about an $8 promo.

We thought it might be a good idea to share the offer with existing customers too, because someone might want to use it to switch to a new key when the currently used key expires soon (new bought keys expire in 10 months). Or to use the very unique special offer to buy a license for christmas for friends and relatives. Or just to share this great deal with other people who don't have a proper protection right now.

There are lots of situations where it makes sense to display this promo to existing customers too. But it's not our intention to make anyone angry because he or she can't participate in this promo.

Note that there are many other advantages to existing customers only: Like the opportunity to get full version license for Emsisoft Anti-Malware completely for free by referring just 12 trial downloads/installations a year. Or by referring 2 buying customers (yes, they can even be customers of the $8 promo!). That's even better and usually very easy to achieve.

I've been asked by others, so figured I would ask you: is there a chance Online Armor++ could be put on sale too?

No, sorry. Product lifecycle of Online Armor ++ (not the premium version!) is about to end soon.

As announced on our forum, we'll not continue development of Online Armor ++. Sales will be stopped soon and it will be moved to mainenance mode.

It's too much overlapping technology with Emsisoft Anti-Malware, therefore we'll focus on one successor set which is the new Emsisoft Internet Security Pack (a bundle of Online Armor Premium + Emsisoft Anti-Malware).

Customers are then advised to change their Online Armor ++ license to an Internet Security Pack license (can be done for free).

    See here for more details:

Christian, if a new OA Premium promo license is activated immediately after purchase, can a current/previously bought license period be added?
Also, just to be sure, if you buy 2 OA Premium promo licenses, these cannot be added together for a 730 days license if you activate both within the 10 month period?
