Does anyone knows wich archives and runtime packers E trust 7 promo can handle ?

I never found the information about it.

Btw : is it considered as a good AV ? are the heuristics strong ? did anybody tested it ?

    Thanks,

    Rook

I just installed eTrust v7 today. I would like to get some user opions on it. It doesn't seem to be the user friendliest AV. Lots of configuration decissions to make that I'm not quite sure of------which engine to use for on demand scans and which one for permenant protection among other things. I'm currently using the Vet engine for the permenant protection and InoculateIT for on demand.

Some opinions/comments would be greatly appreciated.

From members comments here at Wilders, most people are very happy with this AV.

I think its a nice one..
I have activated the heuristics on both the real time monitor ( double left click blue monitor > selection > in detection click on advanced > check heuristic )
Also i have done the same for the on demand scanner >
    start>programme> e trust antivirus > scanner > local scanner options > scan tab > advanced > check heuristics .

I personally use the vet for my real time monitor (It comes with innoculateIT by default )
When i run a scan I alternate Vet then InnoculateIT They are both very fast at scanning .
My updating is done automatically . and happens once a day for each of the engines .

Thanks Blackcat and solarpowered candle. I'll continue using it for a while to see if I can get used to it. It's not the most pleasent to the eyes AV I've used. :) But looks isn't important, it's how it does the job. And, it is free. ;)
