Since installing vista x64, if I remove a DVD from my drive, the disc name remains. Refreshing does nothing, putting another dvd in it still says the previous disc title.
I turned UAC off but still the same.

    Any ideas please?

You might need to flash unit to latest firmware, that solved the same problem on mine

Seems to be a fairly common glitch. A firmware flash if available may work, but from what I have read\experienced myself it seems to be XP related. It is a bit annoying but really not a problem.

    Maybe disable Autoplay?

There are many different programs that may cause both of your problems. Some burning, and audio\video playing programs will cause conflicts with auto-play. Have you installed any of these types of programs recently? Perhaps they were bundled with some other software. Or purchased any new CDs or DVDs that insisted on installing their own player in order to listen to or view them?

Try the Autoplay Repair Wizard. I think it should work fine on Vista.

BTW after fixing one problem and rebooting, you should rerun the wizard.

Thanks. I removed the drives in device manager and let windows detect them again and the disc name problem is solved, but auto play still off. Will try the fix :)
