Drivers for printer?

During the Christmas holidays my son bought a Sony Laptop computer. A couple of years ago he bought a printer, HP G85. It was a relatively expensive printer for home use.

Now the printer will not work with the computer, which has W XP Home.
He has been unable to find drivers, or whatever he needs, to make it work. He is busy so I offered to ask the question on the forum.

Any suggestions as to where he could get help? He said that he had gone to the Microsoft site, and could not find the drivers.

Have you or your son tried the XP driver listed at HP's driver download site ?
