    hi

hope this is in right section?

my computer has slow in a dramatic manner and it may turn out to be the provider running slow..will find that out later today, but figured maybe a fast answer here? it scans clean using comodo IS and the cleaner anti trojan program and hijackthis.

was looking for a program that will list all the drivers i will need to make a drivers disk for reinstalling windows (if necessary) i don't want to do the install have driver problems and be stuck there.

i bought this refurbished HP computer and it has work great until now, but i want to make a driver disk anyway for possible future use. it may be simply the service provider, but i cannot call them right now and hoped for a fast answer?

what freebies will list all the info i will need to make the drivers disk?

    it is win7
suppose all other info not need?

Slim Drivers can do a backup and restore of all your current drivers and it's freeware.

not sure i want an actual backup...if there was a driver problem. i'd like to have a scanner that will list the drivers i need to make a drivers disk for this particular computer.
last disk i had included the chipset drivers...the graphics drivers..ethernet driver..and audio drivers for the previous computer.

especially the ethernet driver. i don't want to do the fresh install and find i need the ethernet driver (got it downloaded now) and cannot net connect. i'd be stuck up the proverbial creek. if i can get online, i can do the updates of fresh driver installs myself, but i'd like a scanner to tell me the proper drivers to get.

will look at that program. it probably will list the names of them and may be fine

used SIW in the past, but they discontinued their freebie.

thanks for the response. i'm thinking it's the service provider...but not in a position to check right now.

    thanks

You can use driverview if you just want a list of the installed drivers. However I would suggest backing the ones up, if you don't have any problems.

BTW if you are looking for a free alternative to SIW, you can try HWinfo.

    thanks for the responses
i got to the provider chat and they said i had a bad line splice
maybe the weather did something...will have to call them when i can

tried the speakeasy tester and it shows the same as my providers speed tester...so guess it's the line

thanks and thanks for the alternative driver scanner too
