here is another, and hopefully the drweb users will know how to do it, its really simple when you know how.

change /full to /fast if you prefer the express scan for your schedule, or create both, its up to you.

    hope this helps.

    keep improving doctor ;)

You are right. The setup program could ask a user and add scheduled scan task by itself. This may be considered as a relatively minor glitch, and will be addressed in future updates. You know, we were really busy these days :)

Visual appearance, as well as many settings, reporting etc will change in upcoming version 5. We hope it will be both sheen and simple.

I must admit I'm liking this new version. I did have an error with Cureit 4.44, that caused my system to crash evrey time I launch it, that was fixed. So, support is not all bad. With this new version, there were a couple things that I noticed that, I think, Dr Web should be made aware of. For instance, the spashscreen that shows up when the on-demand scanner is launched is still partly in Russian, yet when you install Dr Web that word, 'version' in in English. Also, it appears that SpiderMail still uses too much resources, it uses about 4-5 times as much as spidernt.exe (SG). (See here) Finally, I cannot get popup notifications of infected emails with Spidermail, even if that option is selected (as seen here)

Using windows XP there is a scheduling component. However, from what I've been reading here, Vista does not use the same component, it uses the built-in windows vista scheduler.

    Suggestions for Dr.Web:

    1. Encrypted quarantined files.

    2. Faster on demand scanning.

    3. Spider netting on NT platform.

ha ha, an excuse that wont wash with me ;)

we all have jobs, and yes its hard work.. but thats life ;)

do you hate your job, like i do mine? *lol*

i still dont understand why default-drweb choose to ignore 3 types of risk, in both the guard and scanner, at the very least, they should be set to 'Report'.

You should see the Drweb scheduler in the system tray.

I wonder why they don't set http://live.drweb.com to "4.44 time", I mean the number of virus records.

I haven't installed the new version yet but have read all the info about how this version uses the Vista scheduler so I was just curious. I'll be downloading and installing 4.44 by the weekend..

    error found.
i installed drweb 4.44 on my test pc.
but the old beta test key i had expired.
so i downloaded the lastest key from there website which is valid for at least a while.
then the guard started up fine and so did spider mail.
but when i tryed to do a full scan i got a run time error and it closed.
anyone else cant run a full scan due to runtime error?

No, I can't say that I have gotten that error. Reinstall, but this time apply for the demo key during install.
