I need my staff to backup a database every night by just clicking one button on the screed. Is there a way for acrnis true image to do that from a command line in a batch file?

What version True Image do you have?

Why not schedule an automatic backup?

    Hello bridger,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Server Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Depending on your operating system you might want to use different Acronis Product. Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows and Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server support server operating systems of Windows family, Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Linux supports operating systems of Linux family, and Acronis True Image 10.0 Home and Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation support non-server operating systems of windows family.

Corporate versions of Acronis True Image support the command-line mode for data backup and restore, as well as the GUI mode, and can be used to execute XML scripts. You can find more information in the respective User's Guide.

You can make a single-command run backup task as explained in this topic, with corresponding path changes.

If you describe the goals you want to achieve in more details, we will be able to provide you more specific explanation.

    Thank you.
