    CrystalDiskInfo:
Go to AAM/APM Control - 'Advanced Power Management (APM)' and click on disable.
If you see 'Performance (FEh) -> OFF' then it's disabled.
For some drives it can't be disabled (disabled+enable is greyed out), but for this Toshiba-drive it should work.

Also, on some drives the apm gets reset to the default settings. on shut down and you'll have to set crystaldiskinfo to load on startup if you want a setting other than default.

From the image it seems that you can change it.
Select disable and go in "fuction" -> "advanced feature"-> and enable "auto AAM/APM adaption".
Note: every time that the smart values of the hdd are checked/refreshed the heads are parked again, so do not select a very sort auto refresh period.

    Sorry I meant enabled
Move the slider to a value from a minimum 80h (slower performance) to a maximum FDh (faster performance). In those levels the parking is disabled in most hdds.

Yes, i have the same drive. But APM should be disabled after clicking on Disable. :cautious:
To verify if it's disabled, do the following:
CrystalDiskInfo - "Edit" - "Copy" or press Ctrl+C - and paste it into notepad.
If APM is disabled, you should see this:
    Code:
           Model : TOSHIBA DT01ACA200
    ...
           APM Level : 0000h [OFF]
           AAM Level : ----

    = APM is disabled.
The Setting for this drive looks like this in CrystalDiskInfo:
    CrystalDiskInfo_Toshiba_APM=disabled.png
With GSmartControl (Hard disk drive and SSD health inspection tool) -- http://gsmartcontrol.sourceforge.net/home/ -- this can be seen:
    GSmartControl_Toshiba_APM=disabled.png

    hi
    thanks Mood
    i have these
and i run CrystalDiskInfo 7.0.4 (C) 2008-2016 hiyohiyo 64bit (maybe it's better run the 32bit), it's start via task scheduler (under w8 and w10) should be set as administrator?

and GSmartControl , can change the amp settings? i know only CrystalDiskInfo

I always see the UAC-prompt after starting it, so Administrator-rights are needed.

For some drives the APM Level is resetted after a reboot, but especially for this Toshiba-drive i don't see a change.
If the APM Level is set to Off, it stays Off :)

No, it doesn't parked the heads since i connected the drive the first time. So the APM Setting was deactivated/OFF since the beginning.

    mood ,you know it's weird
because under w7 and w8.1,apm is off , under w10 is on the same computer and parks the heads o_Oo_Oo_O

    o_O Yes, that's weird.
With an "older" OS the APM setting is respected, but Windows 10 may override it, it's mentioned there:
Go to Power Options in the Control Panel and search for a setting that may power down your hdd and disable it.
Or if you have have an Intel driver (Intel RST) installed, it may have caused it:
    -----
If you have no Intel driver installed, it seems that Windows 10 itself is enabling APM every boot :doubt:
