was wondering if software firewalls if it would block local lan snooping or any network spy tools and such? this sounds crazy but am an adult i make a fair amount and i want to move however i dont want my family to know what state or where i move to as i think they have a need to do underhanded stuff. my grandma also recently died and they have acted very oddly. i pay rent here and i think it drives them crazy to think i might move out i wouldnt think they depend on rent even though the house is supposably paid for so much but maybe they do who knows i could do my apartment searches on phone sure but my credit is bad and i have alot of apartment info to cover and is just easyer to do on my computer
You should use VPN service instead of firewall to hide your network traffic from possible LAN snooping.
